Keep following road as it winds around to the right. Continue until you see the designated tarmac car park on your left, which has parking for up to 8 cars, and then proceed on foot to your cottage.

Area description

Popular with young and old alike, offering some of the finest beaches and breathtaking coastline to the awe inspiring, expanse and solitude of the rugged Bodmin Moor, a holiday in North Cornwall has something for everyone.

Discover the popular coastal resort of Newquay, the myth and legend of King Arthur's Tintagel, and the quaint bustling market towns of Launceston and Bodmin both ancient capitals of Cornwall.

Bodmin Moor is dominated by dramatic granite tors which tower over the sweeping expanse of moorland; and Launceston, an ancient capital with its impressive Norman Castle standing proudly over the town.

On the estuary the small village of Rock hosts a major watersports centre, perfect for sailing, windsurfing and rowing. Hop on the ferry across to Padstow, or explore the scenic coastal footpaths and inland walks. Nestling in the dunes is St. Enodoc Church where the late Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman is buried.

Padstow, with its fleet of trawlers, netters and crabbers is a colourful, working harbour. On May Day Padstow dances to a different tune, when the pagan "Obby 'Oss" is unleashed and the narrow streets throb to the ceaseless drumbeat and wild cavortings of this age-old fertility celebration.

Port Isaac is an unspoilt, pretty fishing village and sheltered harbour with interesting shops, quality restaurants, and pubs linked by tiny alleyways.

Meandering up the coast is the quaint fishing village of Boscastle, with its 16th Century quay and charming cottages. Nearby Tintagel is famous for its Arthurian legends and the remains of King Arthur's castle still stand today.

The town of Bude is situated on the Atlantic Heritage Coast of Cornwall, adjacent to fine sandy beaches that offer some of the finest surfing to be enjoyed in all of England.

#42 Fantastic holiday.

We had a fantastic holiday and felt very relaxed staying in Mill Cottage. The beds were very comfy and we liked the open plan kitchen/lounge.

#41 Brilliant!

The cottage and its surroundings were brilliant. We loved the holiday cottage and the swimming pool. The extra touches like the toys for the children to play with, the books and games and tea bags etc were really nice. We have already recommended your place to a friend who visits Cornwall every year. Thankyou for a lovely holiday experience.

#38 Perfectly Located

Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was perfectly located and we were able to visit many places (Newquay, St Ives, Padstow, Bigbury on Sea, Bude) without ever having too long a drive. It's refreshing to visit a cottage that lives up to the photos online. Very family-friendly, with a trampoline and pool, as well as a good selection of board games for evenings. As the cottages are so well-equipped, modern and cosy we felt able to relax and unwind immediately. Would love to return!

#30 Beautiful Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, it was a beautiful location and the cottage was very well equipped. We also took our dog with us and there was plenty of open space for her to walk around and enjoy. We would love to come back and stay again in the near future but wondered if you had anything for disabled as I have difficulty with stairs. Look forward to coming back.

#29 1 Mill Cottage

We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottages are in a quiet & beautifully scenic location, yet only a 5 min drive away you have all the facilities & shops of Launceston, & within a 30 min radius activities to suit all. We wouldn't hesitate to go back & explore Cornwall further & stay at the cottages again.

#8 Relaxing cottage and pool!

We had so much fun in and around the pool, great weather, the kids loved the trampoline and football. We will return this summer. Thanks!

#5 Stunning views, fantastic cottage.

A relaxing cottage, great views, fantastic swimming pool, and newly furnished including flat screen TV and internet access. We had a wonderful time, in such a peaceful, tranquil environment with some of the best countryside views. Highly recommended.
